its signature contribution to the world of spirits -  TEQUILA!

Zócalo Mexican Grill & Tequileria has recreated these unmistakable

characteristics of Mexico and brought them into the heart of Cleveland.

Our vision and inspiration is the combination of cuisine from the different regions

of Mexico and the largest selection of tequilas available,

all served with a south-of-the-border ambiance and hospitality.

Fresh, authentic, flavorful and plentiful are the words that define our cuisine.

Celebrating the unique ingredients and spices that are indigenous to the

varying regions of Mexico, our recipes capture these

flavors to provide you the different styles of Mexican cuisines from the

distinct culinary regions of Mexico.

Zócalo, A Taste of Mexico in The Heart of Cleveland

YUCATAN REGION

This region of represents the southern part of Mexico and provides a wide

variety of recipes featuring black beans and pumpkin seeds

combined with fresh meats and vegetables.

The Yucatan menu includes regional dishes such as carnitas (pork shoulder

smothered in achiote rub) and empanadas (fried stuffed turnovers).

This style of cuisine features meats rubbed in recado spices and smoked to perfection

PUEBLA REGION

This region in the central part of Mexico is known as the "Cradle of Corn" and

is the birthplace of Mole, one of the country's most popular dishes.

The Puebla menu features regional specialties such as chili rellanos (poblano peppers

stuffed with cheese), pollo en mole (chicken with mole) and meat-stuffed tamales.

VERACRUZ REGION

This coastal region of Mexico offers a great selection of dishes featuring seafood

caught in the waters off of Veracruz.  The Veracruz menu highlights popular dishes

such as our crab stuffed Mahi Mahi with black bean corn salsa and our

scallops with a pineapple cucumber salsa.

This coastal cuisine changes based upon what fresh seafood is available by season.

BAJA REGION

This region gained its fame with the now famous Tacos de pescado ("fish tacos"),

where they consist of grilled or fried fish.

But now the art of the taco has been truly reinvented.  Often found at street vendors,

the taco is being re-created with new looks, styles and tastes.

Like the Carne Asada Tacos Vampiros and the Tacos Camarones, fresh seafood

and inventive salsas are a trademark of this region.
